King Strogforth lead a very strong campaign to maintain order, and to prevent a civil war. He had visited all the provinces in Troy to promote his new Naval project. He took this opportunity to talk, and to shake hands with the common villagers, therefore strengthening his popularity among them. His health had improved greatly during these campaigns trips, and he felt younger. Hanoue had returned home to Troy with Prince Shoguluh at her side.
The two of them were very busy negotiating with the appropriated authority in Rome for the return of Hanoue's Children. She was still legally married to Abonaby according to the Roman law. It was very hard for her to deal with the situation. She was in love with her prince, was loyal to her husband in Rome, and at the same time could not forget the kindness and gentleness of Captain Henrphost. She was tormented by guilt mostly when she was alone. Prince Shoguluh was a real lover, he showered her with gifts of perfumes, jeweleries and flowers. Hanoue was always in a state of euphoria when she was around him. She played her music for him, and he was charmed by it every time he heard her played.
Abonaby was broken hearted, and had to face the fact that his beloved Hanoue was gone out of his life forever. He cried days and nights. He was also an artist and he expressed his feelings and emotion in his work. While his works were never enough for the the demands in those days, his life was over. He could not be comforted by anything. One day he received a visit, and she was one of these door to door sellers trying to promote her new book. Abonaby welcomed her, and agreed to buy the book from her. He paid for the book and she left. He sat down, opened the pages and started to read. The story was about the life of a Jewish woman who was in love with a Roman soldier. He beat her and mistreated her, because he did not believe her. She was despised by her people for loving this Roman Soldier, and she became an outcast. The young soldier in return had married a very wealthy woman, who had helped promoted his rank to captain to the Roman army. That poor Jewish woman was skillful dressmaker, and words of mouth had brought her to the household of her ex-lover. She was fashioning for many years for his wife, before he discovered, who was behind these intriguing outfits his wife was wearing. He wanted her back in his life, and told her that he will never hurt her again. She agreed to be with him, and both of them left Palestine, and returned to Rome where they lived together happily forever. Abonaby loved the story, and contacted the woman who sold him the book; They started to date, and later she moved in with him. Once again, he was living, and felt contented.
To be continued...
Marie, you did a very good job in this part of the story. What's going to happen to Hanoue's children? Will she get them back? What about general Kalumlahkuff? Will he return to Troy?
